Who Holds the Healers

Who Holds the Healers

Gathering #4

I've been thinking a lot about community lately....not the kind that's measured by the number of followers you have or the size of an email list.

I'm talking about the kind of community where someone can say, "I'm struggling," and no one rushes to fix them.

Where someone can celebrate a dream that's just beginning to emerge, and instead of comparison or competition, they're met with genuine encouragement.

Where grief is allowed to sit beside hope.

Where fear is welcomed just as much as courage.

Tonight, during our Who Holds the Healers gathering, beauty unfolded.

People from different countries, professions, and walks of life gathered together.

One person spoke about the fear of finally stepping into leadership.

Another shared the vulnerability of entering a new season of life without knowing exactly where it would lead.

A mother spoke honestly about raising teenagers and wondering if she was getting it right.

Someone shared the profound grief of losing a child.

Another spoke about walking alongside their own child through serious illness.

There were stories of loneliness.

Stories of purpose.

Stories of public speaking, self-doubt, career transitions, and searching for deeper meaning.

On the surface, they seemed like completely different conversations.

But underneath them all was the same human longing.

Can I be fully seen here?

Can I tell the truth without being judged?

Can I admit that I don't have everything figured out?

Can I bring not only my gifts, but also my uncertainty?

I think this is one of the greatest unmet needs of our time.

We've become incredibly good at performing wellness.

We know how to share inspirational quotes.

We know how to curate our lives online.

We know how to appear strong.

But many of us have forgotten what it feels like to simply be human together.

As someone who has spent years facilitating Family Constellations and supporting people through profound life transitions, I've noticed something that surprises many people.

Transformation doesn't always happen because someone receives brilliant advice.

More often, it happens because someone finally feels safe enough to stop hiding.

There is something profoundly regulating about being deeply witnessed.

Not analyzed.

Not corrected.

Not rescued.

Simply witnessed.

When that happens, something begins to soften.

The nervous system settles.

The heart opens.

The masks become unnecessary.

And suddenly, the answers we were desperately searching for often begin to emerge on their own.

One of the things I love most about our gatherings is that they remind us that everyone is carrying something.

The person who seems confident may be wrestling with self-doubt.

The one who appears calm may be carrying unimaginable grief.

The one who is leading others may quietly wonder who is holding them.

Perhaps that's why we chose the name Who Holds the Healers?

Because every healer...

Every coach.

Every therapist.

Every parent.

Every teacher.

Every leader.

Every person who spends their life supporting others...

Needs somewhere they can simply be human.

Without performing.

Without pretending.

Without having to earn belonging.

I don't believe resilience is built in isolation.

I believe it's built in relationship.

It's built when we discover that vulnerability doesn't weaken community—it creates it.

When one person has the courage to speak honestly, everyone else breathes a little easier.

Permission spreads.

Walls come down.

And suddenly, strangers begin to feel like companions.

That is the kind of world Dr. Fred Moss, Alexandra Isaievych and I want to help build.

Not one where we have all the answers.

But one where we remember that none of us was ever meant to carry life alone.

Because healing has never been just an individual journey.

It has always been something we do together.
